Melbourne Business School has many programs that help develop a career strategy and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and skills between students.
MBS students have access to a Careers Centre that provides tailored and discipline specific careers support services as well as engagement opportunities to employer and industry organisations.
Our Career Mentoring Program has successfully matched many hundreds of graduate and undergraduate students with business professionals in a mentoring partnership. Participating students are linked with mentors based on their shared interests, course of study, and area of specialty. The program aims to assist you with your transition out of university into the workforce and to involve members of industry in a mutually beneficial partnership.
Case Competitions are a great way to build your employability skills and apply your studies in a business environment. Teams of students work on real business cases from real organisations.
Our popular Case Competitions include:
- The Internet Marketing Start-Up Competition
- The MBS Student Association Strategy Presentation Challenge
I was paired with an industry professional who is a Chartered Accountant. Throughout last year, my mentor gave valuable advice and helped me identify my career goals and plans. She was very informative and supportive, and I still keep in touch with her even though the program has come to an end.
